Chelan, Birthdays, & Summer Fun

I just love this picture.  Alli stopped by one evening and randomly they were both in Mariners shirts and pick shorts.  The best part is their smiles.

Our big vacation of the year was a week in Chelan camping at the city park.  There were 8 familys camping the for the week with several others who came and went.  It was a large group and a lot of fun.  We rented a trailer and the girls loved that experience.   Our site was right next to the entrance to the city park and lake.  The kids did a lot of swimming, bike riding, sand castle building, and just running around being kids.

Ella all ready for getting out in the sun.  It was 95 degrees most days!

Kate relaxing on a boat ride.

The girls sleeping.

At one of our favorite stops......Blueberry Hills

Popcicles are always a hit

Boat ride!!!!

It can get a litte rough out there on Lake Chelan so Ella liked to be with me.

The camp kids the last night.  This was our highest number of 22.

Jenniffer, Matthew, and Lauren came to visit for two weeks this summer.  They joined us in Chelan for 2 nights and then we got to spend time with them at the Lake the next weekend.  We hit the Thurston County Fair which was great.  The hit was the animal balloons that the girls got.

And the rides!!!

The other big hit was this mimi jet ski. It has a battery powered fan and Lauren rode it for hours.  Kate was not too sure and a bit nervous on it.

Kate is now 6.  She got to celebrate several times.  At the Lake with Mimi, Nana, Papa, Jenn, Matthew, and Lauren.  Then the next weekend she had the girls from her class over for a Fancy Nancy Tea party.

The Friday of Labor Day we asked Anya to come on our last summer adventure.  We took a Ferry boat ride to Bainbridge Island.  It was a beautiful day to visit their Hands On Museum, ice cream at Mora's, and enjoy the sun.  The girls had a great time with this project where you create shapes out of rubber bands.
