New Years and Seabrook 2014

We were super lucky to be able to head to Seabrook again this year.  It was awful and raining the first day but then clear and sunny the next 2 days.  We had great beach walks, lots of swimming, games, movies, bike riding, and fun.  It was great to spend time with the Boknechts, Langlands, and Grandpa Dan.  Oh..and can't forget the calming!!

Kate was mostly into drawing on the beach while Ella really wanted to swim and jump into the ocean.

And a couple of pictures from making meat pies with the Fabella's on New Years. They were pretty yummy.

And a few more beach shots

 Check out all those clams!

Thanksgving Through Christmas

Well its been awhile so sorry for the long post and that the photos are not all in perfect order but we had a great holiday season!  Here are the girls ready to head off on Thanksgiving Day.  We headed to Chehalis for breakfast with Dad and Great Grandma Eileen, rest break at Mimi's, and then dinner with Nana and Papa at Great Grandma Gigi's and Aunt Katherine's. A fun and busy day.

A highlight was learning to shoot a bow and arrow with Grandpa Dan.

Friday though Sunday we spend watching the Apple Cup =) decorating the house and seeing Santa.  Tye stopped by for some Christmas cheer.
The girls were actually quite helpful this year with the tree and loved seeing all the ornaments.
We ran into Santa at Swanson's going to see the camel and great train.  Ella did not cry this year but maintained a serious attitude.
Yes - that is 4 missing teeth!!!!
Hanging out at Great Grandma Dorothy's on T-day.

Ella's first movie: Frozen - it was really good and we have not stopped singing the songs.
 Evie our elf.
We were joined by the Coles and Boknecht's downtown to see the sights.  The girls got to drive the train at the Seattle Center, all the kids LOVED riding the monorail, the carousel at Westlake, the teddy bear suite at the Fairmont, and the best gingerbread houses at the Sheraton.  Even thought it was sunny, it was VERY cold (in the 20's -burr)

Fun photo shots around the space needle and EMP - EMP was beautiful in the sunlight.
 Our Gingerbread House
Kate's first play with her school group: Harriet and the purple crayon.
Taking a tour of the state capital on the way to Mimi's!
Annual Cookies and Stockings at Mimi's.  Lots of fun treats and Santa even came for a visit.
Nana and Papa "elfed" us by decorating our doors with wrapping paper and leaving the girls new PJs while we were gone.
Great cowgirl outfits that Nana made us for Christmas.
Mimi and Kate getting dressed up for the holidays!
Enjoying an afternoon with Great Grandma Eileen and Grandpa Dan.
Met up with the Langan's and Boknecht's at the Spaghetti Factory in Tacoma for a yummy dinner and then off to Zoo lights - a first for us.

 SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!

Best thing that Santa brought?  Ear muffs - who knew.
Our 3 fishes Christmas Eve dinner - shrimp pasta, crab fresh from Pike Place and mussels!
