Family, Friends, Food, and Fun

We have had a great few weeks with lots of family in town. My sister Tera and Anthony's sister Jenn, her husband Larry, and their kids Matthew and Lauren were all in town for the same 2 week. We were able to start off the time with a boat trip on Lake Washington with everyone. Kate got a bit more comfortable on the boat, only spending the first hour saying "all done".

Cousins are sooooo fun! On Saturday we spent time put put golfing, going to the locks, and spending the afternoon on the pier downtown. Sunday we hit the Science Center - a great thing for a raining Seattle Summer Day.

Sunday night Jenn and Larry got to have a Date Night so we got to watch Bolt with the kids (plus lots of pop corn).

The next week we took a week off and spent it at the Lake. From Saturday to Wednesday we were lucky to spend with the Shaps, Tia, and Nana and Papa. Here are some new pretty things from Papa and Nana.

Sunday we got to have Brunch with Mom, Roger, Tera, and Adam. Then we got to check out Rogers sail boat. Kate did not like looking at the boat but enjoyed being inside it.

On Monday, Tera and I took the kids out to Lindas in Winlock. Grandma Eileen got to enjoy us for a morning full of fun in the garden, taking hikes in the woods, huckleberry picking, and riding horses! Here are shots of all the kids on ACE.

On Tuesday we headed up to the canal to the Hizons to clam dig. We were lucky enough to find a baby octopus!

We got to celebrate Kates Birthday early with family in town! Here she is enjoying her cake!

Happy after swimming in the lake. On Wednesday, the Shaps departed and we spend the morning having coffee with Tryna and visitng Gigi and Katherine. Kate helped Gigi pick herbs and enjoyed her beautiful flowers.

At some point, I forgot to keep taking pictures but the rest of the week was great. The Boknechts joined us on Wednesday for 2 days. We had a great Paella party on Friday, and were got to spend time with many friends. Kate and Jeffery had a great time together and this is a very sweet picture of them under the tree. They love to run, make each other laugh, and tackle one another - although Jeffery is much better at pinning Kate.
