Easter Love

Happy Easter to All......Kate and I had a great weekend. Anthony has been in Cleveland watching Lyle play with his friends so Kate and I hit the road to visit family and celebrate the "bunny". I have to say that I think having a child brings out the best in all of us. I am a better person, I see so much love, kindness, and joy in my parents, aunts, unlces, and grandparents. It truly is a blessing and I am so thankful to be able to have Kate. So here is a glimpse into the 200 + miles we put on the car this weekend.
Friday we headed down to visit Gigi and Great-Great Aunt Katherine. We had a great time hanging out with them and getting our very cut duck or "quack, quack" as Kate calls him. After Gigi's, we headed to Mimi's for an evening of eggs!
Here is Kate coloring her eggs with Mimi
Showing off the eggs before putting them in the basket.
Saturday morning we headed down to Grandpa Dan's or ("ban" as Kate calls him) and Linda's. We even got to pick up great grandma Eileen on the way. Kate got to hunt eggs all over their house (and thanks to Linda, she got to hunt several time!). Here she is finding some eggs.
After all that egg hunting, we heading down to see the cows - and there are some new baby's! Here is Kate getting a good look.
Kate and "Ban" out with the cows.
Getting a good hug from Grandpa.
Grandpa and Linda with our basket full of eggs.
Grandpa being silly.....great grandma Eileen got a good laught too!
After a full morning in Winlock we headed home to Mimi's. Mimi lives just across the street from an area so we went to watch high school teams run figure 8's with their horses. I did not think we would stay long but Kate Loved it. She watched for over an hour and would yell " go go go" to bring the horse home. We also got to walk the barns and get kisses from the horses. I am thinking I need to start working on the Seattle High School Riding Team now! What a great team sport. After that we were able to have dinner with Great Grandpa Ray, Great Uncle Dennis, Great Aunt Mary, and Roger! It was yummy and Kate got to hunt for even more eggs (pictures to come soon).
Easter Morning hunting eggs with Kramer.
Taking a break. After a full weekend of egg hunting and family fun we headed for home. Maddie was happy to see us. I thought this was cute. Maddie relaxing in the car seat and Kate with her new bubble mower from Mimi. Too fun. I am sure they will both enjoy the bubbles when the sun comes back out.

We plan to come later in the week before our reunion on the 25th. You'll be our first stop and then we'll head straight to the reunion in Yakima. Anyways, loved the pictures!!
