A weekend with Kate
We had a great weekend and I thought it would be fun to write down just some of the funny things that Kate did this weekend. While she is a challange in that she wants everything right now (and that usually is the keys while you are driving, the phone while you are talking, your gerocery list in the store, or her new fav...the tissue box).....I continue to be amazed at how much she learns every day. She ran up to me yesterday and poked my eye and said eye. Then we got her to do nose and mouth. She loves to tickle and be tickled. She will hear someone laugh walking by and will laugh too. She walks/runs with her arms swinging back and forth. We were walking home from the store Sunday and she would lift her shirt and point to her belly button and wave at every car. She loves to go get books and sit in your lap and have you read them. She always wants to be outside. Her and Maddie stare out the door until I go out with them. She is into coloring but keeps trying to eat the crayons. She loves to pick tomatoes off the plant and eat them....even the green ones. High 5's are also a new favorite. And splashing in the tub. I walked by the bathroom today and every inch of toilet paper was all over the floor. She loves to open and close draws and pull everything out. Once, she put one thing back. And while these are all really normal things, it sure is amazing to watch your own child learn and grow! Below are some pictures of this weekend. We hit the Zoo with Mimi on a beautiful September day, got a lot of yard work done, washed the truck, cleaned the garage, if only the inside of the house was clean!
Kate taking a break at the zoo! She had so much fun...especially on my shoulders walking around the zoo. She would sing songs or blow bubbles with her spit. My hair was soaked by the end of the day!
Metting Gus the goat with Mimi.
Look at me! This guy is just about my size.
Helping Dad wash the truck.
After washing the truck Kate got to hang out in the truck. For almost an hour she stood in the drivers seat and pushed buttons and supervised Mom and Dad cleaning. So helpful.
