Anthony's Sister Jennifer, her Husband Larry, and Matthew and Lauren came to visit us on July 9th. They spent 5 days with us in Seattle and boy did we have fun. I am still tired. The first day we spent time at the local wadding pool and park. Here is Kate and Lauren enjoying splashing in the pool.

On Friday Afternoon Matthew, Anthony, Kate and myself went to Mounger Pool in Magnolia. Matthew had a great time on the slide going from just sitting, to lying down, to flipping around, to head first! This is a great pool and has public swim daily - a great find for hot afternoons.

Here is Matthew ready to go get some ice cream after a lot of sliding.

Kate and I in the "kid" pool. It is great. She loved hanging out on the side and splashing all the kids. I loved that it was 85 degrees in there!

On Thursday morning I took everyone on a bit of an adventure. We hiked up to Denny Creek. I had forgotten that it was only 7 miles from the top of the pass AND had only hiked there in August and September. We were all surprised to see a lot of snow on the trail but we made it! Here is the gang after our picnic lunch next to the water.

BURRRRRR...that water is cold

The Shaps family heading back down the trail.

Water you can actually drink! Once we got home on Thursday, Jenn and Larry did some shopping alone and the kids and Leah played in the yard. It is so nice since the fence is done. That evening we hit the Spaghetti Factory - YUMM!! and walked along the water front.

Friday morning we walked through Pike Place Market and then went to the Aquarium. We even got to see the divers in the big tank. It was a lot of fun.

Kate wants to take a star fish home.

Saturday morning begun by taking Larry to the airport to head home. Then we hit Top Pot for some tasty treats and headed down to Magnusson Park. We played on the toys and then walked the dog park. We had fun seeing all the different dogs play in the lake.

Saturday afternoon Jennifer got to spend some alone time with Kate, Anthony took Matthew to Matthews beach and Lauren and I went and got our "toes done". They said they had never had a little girl sit so still or be so good. She picked out great colors for the both of us. That evening we hit the book store for some new reading material for the kids and a then had a great dinner out at Fondi Pizza.

Sunday Morning the Spacciante Family had brunch at Salty's. YUMMY. We were lucky to Joe and Maureen come up and join us for the day. Here are some great family shots.

After brunch we went to the Balllard Locks and watched the fish on the fish ladder and the boats coming in and out.

We got to join everyone at Summit Lake this last weekend. Here is Matthew and Lauren making Smores.
