Well...I guess that even my Mom needs to take a few days off sometimes! Her good friend Heather and her headed off for 3 days in NYC this last weekend to celebrate turning 30 and their first year of being Mom's. I had a great time with Dad...but mom sure was excited to see me when she got home. I think she missed kissing me and hearing me laugh the most. Below are some highlights from their trip. The picture above is Mom in Little Italy getting some VERY YUMMY Italian Treats to celebrate her upcoming 30th - (Thanks to Nana and Papa Joe!)

Heather and Aunt Tera outside Wall Street - Trinity Church in the background. They spend all day Saturday just walking through the City. They went from the Meatpacking district through the west village, greenwich village, NOHO, SOHO, Little Italy, China Town, and then the financial district (wall street, trinity church, ground zero). I hear you have to walk that much in order to work off all the great food and drinks!

Aunt Heather on the Harbor Tour with Lady Liberty in the background. They did a 3 hour tour around the island this day, saw Time Square, and hit a great play - Avenue Q - All in the pouring rain!!!!

Where my mom wants to get a second home on the upper east side right outside of the park.

Out for dinner on their last night in the big apple.

Heather at the fountain in Central Park. On their first day there they walked through 2/3 of the park, hit the MET, and walked down most of the upper east side seeing all the fancy shops (kid boxers for 1oo dollars!), Tiffanys, the Plaza, and alot of bling!

Could they be the next Meredith and Ann?

For all you OFFICE fans!

On Saturday morning they went to the top of the rock - and what an amazing view it was.

Central Park in the background - my mom says that the best part of going on a trip is coming home to such a wonderful little girl and husband! She can't wait to go back to NYC with both of us. She also says she was very lucky to have such a great hostess in Aunt Tera - She is an amazing NYC tour guide.
